Viviana Cerda Llanos

Research Assistant

Originally from Chile, Viviana found herself in Vancouver in 2011 and graduated with a Master’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Simon Fraser University in 2015. She began working at Applied Biological Materials 2015 as a Cell Culture Technical, then Virus Production Coordinator and finally IP Office Assistance Manager before leaving in 2019. Since then, she’s been working at the Aparicio Lab as a Research Assistant, assisting the lab with next-generation sequencing projects, prototyping methodologies in blood biopsies that will help us diagnose and monitor cancer progression without invasive surgeries.
