After receiving his BSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2012, Charles joined the Aparicio Lab in 2012 and graduated in 2019 with a PhD in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine for his work on the Signatures of genomic instability and DNA repair defects asdeterminants for tumour clonal dynamics and sensitivity toG-quadruplex stabilizers. Since graduating, Dr. Soong has been working as an Associate for McKinsey and Company in Tokyo, Japan.
